~Little Reminders of Home In Colorado~
I made it. Great flight, I was impressed with US Airways. I am a little tired, but enjoying just hanging out with my Mom and Larry as we're watching Dumb and Dumber. Perfect timing!
I'm enjoying being 1,400 miles away and still having reminders of home with seeing my Mom's KitchenAid mixer and her dog, Addie, that lived with me for several months in 2004. I like the area she lives in, Lakewood, and a new development of shopping near her apartment called Belmar. I love the Coldwater Creek store, the Bally Fitness, and the Whole Foods store.
My Mom introduced me to Pumpernickle Pretzel Jalapeno Cheddar sandwhich crackers. I am looking forward to my trip to Colorado Springs tomorrow. I'm venturing out on my own to do some things I've wanted to do for a couple years. I'm excited! I think we have decided to go snow mobiling instead of skiing, per a great plug from my new blog sister, Dede. I think the snow mobile is more my cup of tea! I love seeing the mountains with the snow on top. I can't wait to make it up there Saturday morning! I'm stoked(my new word)! I have my fav Columbia fleece vest that will actually get some use and some new North Face hats that were clearance up here!

Mel,
I'm having a blast! That's cool, Lakewood is nice. I like several of the towns up here including Littleton and Colorado Springs...
Awesome movie theater up here, Century Theaters. They sell Starbucks and Kettle Corn(my fav!) I hate movie popcorn, but this is the kind of microwave popcorn I buy at home and they had it for sale. I could get used to it out here! Would love to read your book once it's done. Reserve me a copy :0)
Imp-I want an autographed, hardback, first edition. Please! lol. I'd just want to read either way.
Julie-missed you at Church today. Glad to hear you're having fun in Colorado. I'm also very jealous that you're playing in the snow while we're here... playing in the snow. Not really, just got some awesome flurries yesterday while I was at the Preserve. Didn't stick though :( . But, the Imp came out and made it a blast. Bring me back some snow, will ya'.
Omar
Omar,
Of course I leave and it snows! Fortunately God woke me up to the most beautiful snow I've seen in years Friday morning. And I got my fair share of it this weekend in the mountains. See you guys soon and I'll try to bring some back with me~Julie :0)
